During the investigation, which began on January 29 of this year, employees of the GKNB office in the Issyk-Kul region detained engineer K. M. A. in connection with a criminal case regarding bribery.

The investigation claims that K. M. A. extorted money from entrepreneurs providing tourism services in the Ak-Suu district of the Issyk-Kul region in order to reduce the fine for the absence of a seal on the electricity meter.
The detainee has been placed in the temporary detention facility of the Karakol Internal Affairs Department for a period of 48 hours. The investigation is ongoing.
