According to forecasts, the global video game market is expected to show significant growth this year, reaching revenues of $197 billion, which is 7.5% more than last year.
The largest increase in revenue occurred in the PC gaming segment, where growth was 10.4%, equivalent to $43 billion. Revenue from mobile games rose by 7.7%, totaling $108 billion, while the console market increased by 4.2%, reaching $45 billion.
Michiel Buysman, lead analyst at Newzoo, noted that the current growth in the market confirms a strategic trend towards increasing investments in the development of key gaming ecosystems, rather than being a random increase in audience size.
According to the study, among PC releases, the highest revenues were generated by Battlefield 6, Schedule I, and ARC Raiders, while on consoles, the leaders were EA Sports FC 26, NBA 2K26, and also Battlefield 6.
