The INFOLine agency's forecast suggests that by 2025, the total retail turnover of countries such as Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan will exceed $100 billion for the first time.

The main factors driving this growth are increased domestic demand, population growth, and the active development of trade infrastructure in major cities of the region.

The dynamics of retail turnover in Central Asia significantly outpace global averages. For instance, from January to September 2025, Uzbekistan's retail trade volume amounted to approximately $27.5 billion, which is 11 percent higher compared to the same period last year. Kazakhstan also demonstrated positive dynamics, with its retail turnover reaching about $38 billion, an increase of 7.1 percent from the previous year.

Analysts believe that Kyrgyzstan could achieve a growth rate of 10–12 percent due to improvements in logistics processes and rising living standards. Tajikistan and Turkmenistan are also showing sustainable development in the consumer market, driven by population growth and increasing availability of retail services.

Major retailers continue to actively expand their presence in the region, strengthening their positions in cities and large agglomerations.

According to the INFOLine report, in the coming years, e-commerce in Central Asia will grow by 30–50 percent annually, allowing brands to reach a broader market and enter new segments without the need for significant investments in physical retail infrastructure.

Central Asia is entering a phase of active consumer growth, where a combination of operational efficiency, technological solutions, and attention to local consumer preferences becomes critically important for successful business operations, experts emphasize.
