Central Asia aims to boost mutual trade to $20 billion

Today, the first meeting of the Council of Ministers of Trade and Investment of Central Asian countries took place in Tashkent. The event was organized by the Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan.

Participants of the meeting discussed strategies aimed at achieving a trade volume in the region of $20 billion. As a result of the discussions, a joint communiqué was signed, which aims to deepen economic cooperation, develop partnerships, create joint productions, and implement new investment mechanisms.
One of the key decisions was the establishment of industrial sites under the unified brand Made in Central Asia.
This project is focused on promoting the region's products and attracting large investors, as well as international financial institutions.

In the Ministry of Investments of the Republic of Uzbekistan, it was emphasized that this council will become a permanent platform for developing coordinated approaches in the field of trade and investment policy among Central Asian countries.
