During the meeting, participants discussed drafts of the Concept for the development of cooperation among the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States in the field of production for various industrial sectors, as well as an Action Plan for its implementation.
“To create new materials with improved characteristics, such as strength, durability under fatigue loads, operational temperature indicators, and resistance to external influences, it is necessary to have modern production capacities, a scientific base, qualified engineering and production personnel, as well as developed cooperative ties between scientific and educational institutions and industrial enterprises of the CIS countries,” emphasized the CIS Executive Committee.
Experts reviewed the submitted proposals, made additions, and approved the drafts of the documents. After coordination with the governments, these documents will be sent for consideration by the highest bodies of the CIS.
About the Concept of Cooperation
The Concept aims to create and develop interstate scientific, technical, and production cooperation in the field of developing advanced materials for high-tech industries.
Among the key areas of cooperation discussed within the framework of the documents are mechanisms that facilitate the transfer of technologies and research results into practical sectors of the economy, the creation of a regulatory and technical framework and standards, as well as the training of highly qualified specialists in the field of materials science and materials technology.
