Beктурсун Кенжематов, head of the legal support department for investor protection at the National Investment Agency, presented an updated vision of investment policy, emphasizing the need for partnership between the state, business, and investors. The new investment law aims to protect investors' rights and ensure transparency in investment processes.
In turn, the First Deputy Prosecutor General Baymurza Maatov spoke about the ongoing reforms aimed at establishing transparent conditions for doing business and strengthening trust in government agencies.
The Prosecutor's Office is actively working not only through control mechanisms but also by engaging in dialogue and preventing violations.
"Issues of private property protection and the rule of law remain key for business in Kyrgyzstan. We support the initiative to sign a memorandum and will propose measures to protect business and investments on this platform," noted Askar Sydykov, Executive Director of the International Business Council.The proposals put forward by the International Business Council include changes to the performance indicators of government agencies, so that a greater number of institutions, including law enforcement, participate in issues of economic development, attracting investments, and upholding legality.
Additionally, they concern conducting a thorough analysis of criminal cases initiated against entrepreneurs and determining the extent of damage suffered by businesspeople, as well as studying trends in law enforcement practices within the business environment.
Based on the analysis conducted by the International Business Council, it is proposed to develop measures aimed at the real protection of property rights, which is the foundation of economic growth in any country.
"We have a number of developments in this area and will facilitate their implementation within the framework of the signed memorandum," concluded Askar Sydykov.
