Elon Musk's net worth has reached $600 billion, making him the first businessman in the world with such wealth. This was reported by Forbes.
The increase in his fortune is linked to the recent rise in the valuation of SpaceX, which is engaged in space launches and the development of the Starlink satellite system for global internet access.
In August, SpaceX was valued at $400 billion, but by early December, before going public, it had risen to $800 billion.
Musk owns 42 percent of SpaceX shares, which is currently valued at $336 billion, and when combined with other assets, forms his total net worth of $677 billion, according to Forbes.
In second place among the richest people according to Forbes is Larry Page, co-founder of Google, whose net worth is about $252 billion, which is $425 billion less than Musk's.
