Uzbekistan plans to open the first Disneyland in Central Asia

Negotiations with The Walt Disney Company could lead to the creation of the largest entertainment center in the region

In Uzbekistan, there is an active discussion about the initiative to build the first Disneyland theme park in Central Asia. This project could make the country the fifth in the world to have such a park, as reported by Uzbek media.

The discussion of the idea took place in Tashkent during a meeting between Saida Mirziyoyeva, head of the administration of the President of Uzbekistan, and Haima Washington, Vice President of The Walt Disney Company. During the negotiations, the parties also considered issues related to the creation of a regional media center and content production for children, including the possibility of launching television and developing animation.

As Mirziyoyeva noted, the opening of the theme park could not only enhance the country's tourist appeal but also contribute to the development of creative industries and attract international companies.

If the project is successfully implemented, Uzbekistan will become the first country in Central Asia with a Disneyland, significantly strengthening its position as a region with a developing tourism and entertainment infrastructure.
