The situation with cargo at the MGSP "Saryagash" has become critical, as the Uzbek side was not accepting trains, leading to a large number of wagons accumulating, as reported by Ulysmedia.kz.
During discussions in Tashkent, the delegations addressed current issues related to the operation of the railway systems of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, as well as the load on the stations.
Problems
With the onset of the active transportation season, the Kazakh company "KTZ" faced difficulties. Due to the accumulation of over 8000 wagons and the increase in the private fleet on the Uzbek side, challenges arose at fourteen stations.
Initiative
To improve transportation, Uzbekistan proposed to establish clear volumes and nomenclature of cargo for transportation, as well as to change the directions of wagons from MGSP "Saryagash" to MGSP "Oasis".
Statistics
According to data, in the first ten months of 2025, the volume of cargo transportation between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan increased by 21%, amounting to 22.9 million tons.
