
In accordance with the directive of the Minister of Emergency Situations, Lieutenant General Boobek Azhikeev, on November 6, the Emergency Situations Ministry helicopter flew to the Sary-Kyr pass in the Jalal-Abad region to evacuate a 30-year-old citizen, K.E., who was stuck in a snowdrift. This was reported by the ministry's press service.
At the scene, 28 personnel have been involved since early morning, including 16 employees from the Emergency Situations Ministry. The operation also includes 6 units of equipment, including heavy engineering machinery from the company "China Railway International".
It is worth noting that on November 5, a man found himself in a difficult situation on the Jalal-Abad - Kazarman highway near the Sary-Kyr pass and requested assistance.
On the same day, 4 employees from the Toguz-Torou district department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, 4 representatives from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, local authorities, and 4 specialists from the company *China Railway International* with loading equipment were involved in the aftermath response. Rescuers from the Republican Separate Rescue Unit of the Emergency Situations Ministry also joined the rescue operation.
Colonel Ch. Shekenov, head of the Emergency Situations Ministry for the Jalal-Abad region, held an operational meeting where a decision was made to immediately continue search and rescue operations. To expedite the road clearing process, an additional two heavy engineering vehicles were dispatched.
Traffic over the Sary-Kyr pass on the Jalal-Abad - Kazarman highway has been suspended since October 1, 2025, by the order of the Toguz-Torou and Suzak district administrations.
