The first place in the anti-rating is held by Lahore (Pakistan) with an AQI of 398, which is considered life-threatening. Cairo (Egypt) takes second place with an AQI of 384.
Experts claim that such a high level of air pollution poses a serious threat to public health, especially for children, the elderly, and individuals with chronic respiratory and cardiovascular diseases.
Citizens are advised to reduce their time outdoors and use protective masks whenever possible.
