At a recent meeting of the committee of the Jogorku Kenesh responsible for science, education, and innovation, deputy Santalat Amanova asked an important question to the director of the High Technology Park of the Kyrgyz Republic, Azis Abakirov: “Among the 2687 residents, are they all citizens of Kyrgyzstan or are there foreigners?”
In response, Abakirov clarified that 90% of the residents are citizens of Kyrgyzstan. He also reported that, in accordance with the instructions of the Cabinet of Ministers, the park aims to become known as a Digital Nomad at a global level in its second phase.
“Two decades ago, we were a small group of 3-4 companies planning to enter the international market. We need to create our own brand, and a prime example of this is the large company DBillions. Startups like Growahe are collaborating with Boeing, and over 100 startups have already been directed to Silicon Valley. In the field of artificial intelligence, a Kyrgyz company is developing a unique voice interface,” he added.
