The National Film Studio "Kyrgyzfilm" has begun work on a feature film dedicated to Jusup Abdrakhmanov, one of the founders of Kyrgyz statehood. This significant initiative was announced by the Ministry of Culture.
Currently, filming is taking place in Moscow, where the team is working on location at the "Moskino" film park. This event is of outstanding importance for Kyrgyz cinema, as local directors are using the locations of this park for the first time to create a feature film.
The project features well-known actors from Russia, as well as a guest actor from Kazakhstan.
The national premiere of the film is scheduled for August 2026, which will coincide with significant dates: the 35th anniversary of Kyrgyzstan's independence, the 100th anniversary of the formation of the Kyrgyz ASSR, and the 125th anniversary of the birth of Jusup Abdrakhmanov.
