The Ministry of Education of Kyrgyzstan has announced the conduct of an interim monitoring to assess the implementation of 12-year education based on the results of the first half of the year.

The agency plans to carry out a comprehensive analysis based on survey data and observations. This will allow for the determination of the results of the reform and identify its achievements, as well as problematic aspects that require adjustments.

As noted by Minister Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva, the interim and final analyses will help create an objective picture of the initial results of the reform, as well as assess the effectiveness of the decisions made.

The analysis will focus on the professional development of teachers, the application of educational standards, as well as the effectiveness of electronic educational resources and digital platforms, including the portals of the Kyrgyz Academy of Education and the Republican Institute for Advanced Training.

In addition, the monitoring will assess the level of teachers' mastery of automated information systems such as "Mugalim" and "Kundoluk," as well as check the accuracy and completeness of the data used for management decisions.

The monitoring will be carried out by the Department for Quality Education Development under the Ministry of Education.

It is worth noting that Kyrgyzstan is currently undergoing a phased transition to 12-year education. In the 2025/2026 academic year, new programs will be implemented for students in the 1st, 2nd, 5th, and 7th grades.

In 2026, more than one billion soms are planned to be allocated for education reform, similar funds were allocated in 2025 as well.
