The Ministry of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic has announced the results of the Digital Farmer Hackathon 2025 competition. This event focused on the application of digital and artificial intelligence technologies in the agricultural sector and water resource management. The main task of the hackathon was to develop modern digital tools aimed at improving the efficiency of water resource use and updating the country's agro-industrial complex.
The results of the competition highlighted the strengths of the presented projects, which can significantly enhance water use efficiency and contribute to the sustainable development of agriculture.
Winners:
1st place – AIU-Team
Project: "AgriVision" – an early field monitoring system using drones and artificial intelligence.
2nd place – Tamchy Agro KG
Project: National irrigation water consumption monitoring system.
3rd place – Akyl Jer
Project: Unified intelligent digital platform for the agricultural sector of Kyrgyzstan.
Thirteen teams participated in the hackathon, and the winners were awarded cash prizes and recommendations for further cooperation with the ministry, including the opportunity to implement pilot projects. Other participants received letters of appreciation.
The ministry expressed recognition of the high level of the presented projects and confirmed its readiness to support initiatives aimed at the digital transformation and modernization of the country's agricultural sector.
