According to the press service of the Ministry of Education, this event is aimed at developing the professional skills of school chefs, improving the quality of hot meals in educational institutions, and disseminating best practices among educational establishments in the country.
In the first stage of the competition, which took place in the regions, 417 chefs from all corners of Kyrgyzstan participated. Based on the jury's evaluations, 7 participants made it to the finals.
Each finalist presented a unique hot dish specifically designed for the school menu, meeting three main requirements:
- the cost of one portion should not exceed 30 soms;
- the use of local products;
- the mandatory inclusion of vegetables or fruits in the dish.
The final part of the competition consisted of three professional tests: dish presentation, knowledge of sanitary standards, and practical cooking. The jury evaluated the taste, presentation, cooking technology, and the health benefits of the presented dishes for schoolchildren.
As a result of the competition, the winners were announced:
- First place was taken by Altynai Jarmatova from the Batken region, representing the school named after Alchybay Toralieva. She received a certificate worth 50,000 soms for the purchase of kitchen equipment.
- Second place went to Sayrakan Mambetalieva from school No. 64 in the October district of Bishkek, who was awarded a certificate for 30,000 soms.
- Third place was taken by Lunara Saadabekova from the school named after Sagynbek Duyshenbieva in the Talas region, who received a certificate for 20,000 soms.
In addition, all finalists were awarded commemorative prizes and certificates from the Ministry of Education.
