At the WHO plenary session "Artificial Intelligence for Health: Practical Solutions for a Healthy Future," held in Malta, Deputy Minister of Health Nurgul Adnaeva presented Kyrgyzstan's achievements in the field of artificial intelligence implementation.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Health, the event was organized by the WHO European Regional Office and gathered ministers, experts, and representatives from international organizations from Europe and Central Asia. The main focus was on the integration of artificial intelligence into the healthcare system, issues of ethics, data management, and international cooperation.

During the plenary session on "Towards the Responsible Use of AI in Healthcare," Nurgul Adnaeva shared her country's experience in digital solutions and the development of artificial intelligence in medicine. She emphasized the need for ethical and safe application of technologies, protection of personal data, and enhancement of digital skills among healthcare workers.

"Artificial intelligence in healthcare must develop based on ethical principles, ensure the protection of patients' rights, and support medical practice rather than replace it," Adnaeva noted.

Aspects of implementing the Digital Code were also discussed, which for the first time establishes a legislative framework for regulating artificial intelligence in healthcare in the country.

The work aims to enhance the transparency of algorithms, protect personal data, prevent discrimination, and implement accountability mechanisms in the use of AI.
