Today, the opening of the renovated maternity hospital of the Osh Interregional Combined Clinical Hospital took place, completing its major renovation. This was reported by representatives of the regional representative office.
High-ranking guests attended the opening ceremony, including the head of the Osh region Amanak Kenjebayev, the first deputy minister of health Aibek Matkerimov, and the vice-mayor of the city of Osh, as well as medical workers and representatives of related agencies.
Speaking at the ceremonial event, Amanak Kenjebayev congratulated the medical staff on the opening of the updated facility and noted that the government pays attention to healthcare. He emphasized that in addition to improving the material and technical base, work is also underway to create decent conditions for medical professionals, enhance their qualifications, and increase salaries by up to 100%.
During the major renovation, the following departments were completely updated:
- Mother and Child Department;
- Operating Block;
- Intensive Care Units for adults and children;
- Pregnancy Pathology Department;
- Centralized Sterilization Department;
- Clinical Diagnostic Laboratory and Outpatient Diagnostic Department.
The project was financed from the state budget. The total cost of the tender for the renovation of the two-story building amounted to 87 million 900 thousand soms. The medical institution is now equipped with modern equipment, which allows for quality assistance to the population.
Note:
The Osh Regional Maternity Hospital opened its doors on April 11, 1968, and was initially designed for 250 beds. This is the first major renovation since its opening.
