Starting from 2025, the option of homeschooling will be introduced in Kyrgyzstan. This was announced at a briefing by Olga Bryzgalova, a representative of the Ministry of Education.

According to her, not all students will be able to take advantage of this form of education.

“There are certain criteria that students wishing to receive such services must meet. Homeschooling involves the participation of parents and tutors. For additional information, one can contact the school education department, where specialists are ready to explain who can use this format and how the process works, including obtaining a certificate,” Bryzgalova clarified.

It is important to note that according to the regulation, homeschooling is available to all students. It involves studying the curriculum outside of educational institutions, provided that intermediate and final assessments are conducted in the appropriate educational organizations.

Parents (or legal representatives) can decide at any stage of the educational process to provide primary, basic general, and/or secondary education in the form of homeschooling, if this decision is supported by the territorial commission for child affairs.
Olga Bryzgalova also reported that since last year, the online school "Tunguch" has been operating in Kyrgyzstan, offering distance learning under the supervision of teachers.

“It is too early to talk about the results. Only the first semester has passed, and by the end of the year we will be able to assess both the positive and negative aspects that teachers and students are facing,” she noted.
