The Central Election Commission of Kyrgyzstan has announced the holding of a draw, which will take place on February 5 in the village of Masy, located in the Nooken district of the Jalal-Abad region. This event will aim to determine the order of inclusion of registered candidates for deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh in electoral district No. 13.
According to information provided by the CEC, the draw will also determine the structure of the ballot, the distribution of free airtime on state television channels, and the provision of print space in state periodicals.
In addition, on this day, a memorandum will be signed between registered candidates intending to participate in the repeat elections for deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh in the multi-mandate district No. 13, scheduled for March 1, 2026.
As part of the preparation for the event, a special representative of the CEC and the chairperson of the district election commission will interact with state and local authorities to ensure the necessary conditions.
In particular, according to part 3 of Article 3 of the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On Commissions for Conducting Elections and Referendums of the Kyrgyz Republic," they:
- will organize the provision of premises, technical equipment, and a lottery machine for the draw;
- will ensure the presence of public observers and representatives of candidates at the draw;
- will notify the media in advance about the upcoming event.
