In the Kochkor district, 37.78 hectares of agricultural land that had previously been illegally privatized have been returned to state ownership. This was reported by representatives of the prosecutor's office.
As a result of an inspection of compliance with land legislation, supervisory authorities found that between 1996 and 2006, plots located in the territory of the Ormon-Khan and Cholpon rural administrations were transferred to private hands without legal grounds.
Following the prosecutor's measures, the land, valued at 80 million 300 thousand soms, was returned to the state's disposal.
The prosecutor's office emphasized that work to identify and return illegally appropriated land plots continues.
