Major and planned repairs of overhead lines have begun in the Batken region

Extensive repair work on overhead power lines has begun in the Batken region, covering voltages of 220/110/35 kV. According to the press service of the local electric company, as part of the 2026 plan, a major restoration of 20 km of lines and a scheduled repair of 1380 km is planned.
These works are being carried out to prepare for the autumn-winter season of 2026–2027. The repair activities will be conducted in stages from March to November and will cover the territories of the Kadamjai, Leilek, and Batken districts.
Currently, planned work has begun on the 110 kV overhead lines "Khoja-Bakirgan – Arka" and "Arka – Morskaya" on the Suluktin section of the high-voltage overhead lines service, with a total length of 7 km. During these works, it is planned to replace 190 outdated insulators, as well as update the line fittings and install modern equipment that meets current technical standards.
The main goal of these activities is to ensure reliable and uninterrupted power supply, prevent emergency outages, reduce technical losses, and improve the condition of high-voltage lines.
In 2025, 7200 old insulators were completely replaced on the 220/110/35 kV high-voltage lines of the Batken electric company, and 7513 new glass insulators were installed. In addition, during the scheduled repairs, 1264.75 km of high-voltage lines were covered, and major repairs were conducted on 134.6 km.
