"Arsenal" in the Issyk-Kul Region: 1547 Hunters Checked and Fines Issued for 147,000 Soms

The Internal Affairs bodies of the Issyk-Kul region are conducting comprehensive operational and preventive measures called "Arsenal" in accordance with the requirements of the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic on the territory of the region.

The raids are aimed at preventing offenses related to weapons, as well as poaching.

As of the end of January this year, 28 facilities of the licensing system and 1,547 hunters have been checked. Based on the results of the inspections, 54 administrative protocols have been drawn up, and fines totaling 147,000 soms have been imposed.

For violations of the rules, 25 units of weapons have been seized, and 16 units of weapons have been confiscated in connection with criminal cases. In addition, citizens voluntarily surrendered 31 units of weapons.

During the conducted activities in the region, 8 crimes have been solved, and 2 environmental crimes have been identified.

In order to ensure public safety, work has been carried out in conjunction with relevant services and public organizations to eliminate dangerous wild animals: 18 jackals and 23 stray dogs have been destroyed.

Meetings with local residents are also being organized in rural settlements of the region, and explanatory work is being conducted on issues of citizen safety, compliance with legal requirements, and environmental protection.
