Law enforcement conducted a large-scale operation 'Arsenal' in Issyk-Kul
From December 16 to 26, 2025, an operation called "Arsenal" is taking place in the Issyk-Kul region, aimed at preventing offenses related to weapons and combating poaching.

According to law enforcement agencies, during the first week of the operation, 54 facilities with permits for the circulation of weapons and about 3,700 hunters were checked. As a result of the inspections, 36 administrative protocols were drawn up, and the total amount of imposed fines amounted to 33,000 soms. A total of 24 weapons were seized, 10 of which are related to criminal cases, as well as 136 ammunition. In addition, citizens voluntarily surrendered three units of weapons.

During the operation, 23 crimes were solved, one wanted person was detained, and six citizens who had previously been declared wanted were found. Two cases of environmental crimes were also identified.

To enhance public safety, events for the culling of dangerous wild animals were conducted in collaboration with relevant services and public organizations. As a result of this work, 35 wild jackals, 35 stray dogs, and one fox that entered the settlement were eliminated.

Local residents of the Tyup district also participated in meetings where issues of safety, compliance with legislation, and environmental protection were discussed.
