Compensation for damages exceeding 2 billion soms, 198 officials held accountable — the Prosecutor's Office of the Issyk-Kul Region announced the results of the fight against corruption

The Prosecutor's Office of the Issyk-Kul Region is summarizing its activities in the field of combating corruption.

As part of the implementation of the action plan approved by the presidential decree dated June 5, 2024, No. 137 "On the State Strategy for Combating Corruption for 2025–2030," the prosecutor's office organized a series of events dedicated to December 9 — International Anti-Corruption Day.

At the initiative of the regional prosecutor's office, an order was issued by the presidential representative declaring the Week of Combating Corruption from December 8 to 12, 2025.

During this Week, on December 12, the prosecutor's office held a round table attended by representatives of the presidential representative office, law enforcement and state agencies, non-governmental organizations, business associations, and civil society.

According to the prosecutor's office, work is currently underway to combat corruption aimed at improving the situation, in accordance with the directives of the country's leadership.

At the event, issues related to the implementation of the presidential decree on the state strategy for combating corruption for 2025–2030 and the Cabinet of Ministers' resolution dated December 2, 2025, No. 768 "On the Approval of the Concept of Sustainable Development of the Ecological and Economic System 'Issyk-Kul' for the Period Until 2030 and the Action Plan for Its Implementation" were discussed, as well as further steps in the fight against corruption.

According to Prosecutor Emirbek Karimov, over the course of 11 months in the area of combating corruption, 160 inspections were conducted, revealing 480 violations. As a result, 190 acts of prosecutorial response were submitted, leading to the accountability of 198 officials. In the framework of general supervision, the state has recovered damages amounting to 2 billion 34 million 9 thousand 763 soms, and 23 criminal cases have been initiated.

The prosecutor emphasized that oversight of compliance with legislation will continue in the future.
