The raid called "Arsenal," carried out in the Aravan district, focused on identifying illegal weapons, checking compliance with storage regulations by owners, and addressing cases of domestic violence. As a result of the raid, 1 unit of rifled weapon and 3 traumatic pistols were temporarily seized and transferred to the custody of the District Internal Affairs Department (ROVD). One citizen voluntarily surrendered his weapon after explanatory conversations. Fines were imposed on 8 citizens who committed violations.
In the Alay district, after information about threats and violence involving a pistol appeared on social media, 3 individuals voluntarily surrendered 3 traumatic pistols to the police for destruction. Additionally, traumatic pistols were temporarily seized from 3 citizens who had registered weapons and were transferred to the ROVD due to violations of storage and re-registration rules.
The Internal Affairs Department of the Osh region informs that explanatory work among the population continues on an ongoing basis, aimed at preventing incidents and crimes related to firearms. Citizens who voluntarily surrendered illegal weapons are exempt from liability under the law.
