This information was announced by the press service of the Internal Affairs Department of the Batken Region.
According to their data, a 29-year-old resident of the region, I. U., was detained during a hunting trip while carrying a smoothbore firearm model K-16 without the necessary permits.
The seized weapon was not registered with the state authorities. It should be noted that the hunting season is currently closed.
A criminal case has been initiated in accordance with Article 267 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning "illegal trafficking in weapons and ammunition."
An investigation is underway.
