According to information from the press service, this event is aimed at ensuring the safety of the population, identifying illegal arms trafficking, preventing incidents related to firearms, as well as preventing domestic violence.
During the raid, cases of violation of storage and re-registration rules for firearms were recorded. As a result, two traumatic pistols were temporarily seized and transferred for storage to the Kara-Kulja district internal affairs department. In addition, three citizens voluntarily surrendered three units of smoothbore hunting weapons after explanatory work was conducted.
The raid also included explanatory conversations about the prevention of domestic violence. Citizens were informed that illegal storage and use of weapons in the context of domestic conflicts can lead to serious consequences for their loved ones.
The Internal Affairs Department of the Osh region strongly urges citizens to voluntarily surrender illegally stored firearms, ammunition, and explosives. In such cases, citizens can avoid criminal liability.
