According to the press service of the Internal Affairs Department of the Osh region, in anticipation of the New Year holidays, the internal affairs management has intensified both daytime and nighttime patrols to ensure the safety of the population.
The law enforcement agencies are conducting explanatory work aimed at preventing offenses, traffic accidents, and incidents in places of mass gatherings, in educational institutions, and at dangerous road sections.
From December 22 to 23, administrative protocols were drawn up against 93 citizens for violations provided for by the Code of Offenses.
The protocols concern minors who were unaccompanied by adults, drivers who did not change tires on their vehicles, people smoking in public places, women in niqabs, as well as pedestrians crossing the road in prohibited areas.
As noted in the statement, the main goal of these activities is not to combat the consequences of offenses, but to prevent them.
