According to reports, the raid was organized to enhance safety on the roads for pedestrians.
"During the event, inspectors checked compliance with traffic rules by pedestrians, especially in hazardous areas," the statement noted.
As a result of the inspection, 47 individuals crossing the roadway in unauthorized places received a fine of 1,000 soms each, in accordance with current legislation.
According to the first part of Article 190 of the Code of Offenses, violations of traffic rules by pedestrians, passengers, as well as individuals operating bicycles, mopeds, or livestock, may result in a warning or a fine equal to 10 calculated indicators," the OTSD added.
