This information was announced by the press service of the Traffic Safety Administration of the Main Department of Internal Affairs of the Chui Region.
The statement reads: "The Traffic Safety Administration informs all individuals engaged in private freight and passenger transportation of their obligation to obtain a passenger transportation license by December 1, 2025."
In recent years, there has been an increase in the number of private carriers, many of whom operate without the necessary permits. In this regard, the Traffic Safety Administration emphasizes that conducting passenger transportation without a license is an offense and may lead to administrative sanctions.
Licensing is mandatory for all individuals engaged in passenger transportation, regardless of whether they operate independently or as part of taxi services.
To obtain a license, it is necessary to provide identification, information about the vehicle, and pass the relevant checks. The licensing process is carried out through the territorial divisions of the Traffic Safety Administration in the Chui Region.
The department noted that compliance with legislation will help enhance passenger safety, create uniform standards for all carriers, and reduce the number of illegal transports.
“We urge all drivers to contact the district internal affairs departments to obtain a license and conduct their activities legally. Legal entities should contact the Traffic Safety Administration of the Chui Region,” the press service added.
Additionally, traffic inspectors in the Panfilov District reported that explanatory work on licensing is being carried out in accordance with current legislation.
