At Issyk-Kul, the "Arsenal" raid is underway: 3700 hunters checked, 1 person detained, 6 missing persons found

In the Issyk-Kul region, the operation "Arsenal" is being implemented.

According to information from the press service of the regional Internal Affairs Department, special activities known as "Arsenal" are being conducted in the Issyk-Kul region from December 16 to 26, 2025. These actions are aimed at preventing offenses related to the illegal circulation of weapons and poaching.

During one week, 54 licensed facilities and 3,700 hunters were checked. As a result of the inspections, 36 administrative protocols were drawn up, and the total amount of fines imposed was 33,000 soms. Additionally, 24 units of weapons were seized, 10 of which are listed in criminal cases, along with 136 ammunition rounds. Citizens voluntarily surrendered 3 units of weapons.

Furthermore, during the operation, 23 crimes were solved, one person who was wanted was detained, and the whereabouts of 6 missing persons were established. Two cases of environmental violations were also identified.

In order to enhance public safety, activities aimed at eliminating dangerous wild animals were carried out in cooperation with relevant services and public organizations. As a result, 35 wild jackals, 35 stray dogs, and one fox that had entered the territory of a settlement were destroyed.

Additionally, meetings were held with local residents in several villages of the Tyup district, where explanatory discussions about citizen safety, compliance with legislation, and nature protection were conducted.
