"If you get a job at 'Tazalyk', you will earn 60,000 soms a month." Raid "Wanderer" in Bishkek

Police officers conducted a preventive operation called "Vagabond," as reported on November 8 by the press service of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of Bishkek.

More than 500 police officers were involved in this raid, aimed at preventing offenses, as well as identifying homeless individuals and providing assistance to those in difficult life situations.

During the raid, bus stations, heating mains, basements, attics, and other places where vulnerable citizens might be found were checked.

“Do you earn 150-200 soms a day?” - one of the police officers asked a man who was collecting plastic bottles.

“1500-2000 soms,” - the man replied.

“If you get a job at ‘Tazalyk,’ you could earn 60,000 soms a month,” - the officer added.

During the operation, more than 200 people were identified, some of whom were directed to social shelters and night shelters for temporary accommodation and necessary assistance.

More than 40 citizens were placed in the Special Reception Center of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of Bishkek under Article 126 (“Petty Hooliganism”) of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Additionally, several crimes of varying severity, including thefts, were uncovered during the raid.
