It became known that Colonel of Police Melis Idirisov, head of the Kara-Kulja district internal affairs department, reminded motorists of the importance of adhering to traffic rules in this area. He also conducted an inspection of the road surface condition in hard-to-reach areas of the valley.
During the inspection, officials from the Main Directorate for Road Safety emphasized to drivers the necessity of strictly following the rules, maintaining a safe distance, using winter tires, and having anti-skid chains on hand. As a result of the inspection, one driver who was traveling on summer tires was fined 5,500 soms.
In addition, due to the threat of snow avalanches and the formation of ice on certain road sections, local authorities and road services were sent recommendations to take necessary measures," the press service reports.
