Winter conditions often lead to the formation of an icy crust on the road surface, which creates serious problems for both pedestrians and drivers. In conditions of poor visibility of road signs and traffic lights, especially during snowfalls and icy conditions, it is extremely important to reduce speed and use winter tires, the press service of the Road Traffic Safety Department emphasizes.
Employees of the Road Traffic Safety Department of the Moscow district urge drivers to strictly follow safety rules during the winter period. They also emphasize the need for preventive work with residents.
“Human life is the top priority. Haste and non-compliance with traffic rules in winter can lead to traffic accidents. We urge motorists to use winter tires and maintain a safe distance. Educational work is being conducted both on the roads and in educational institutions,” the district department of the Road Traffic Safety Department added.
Currently, 28 road enterprises continue to treat the roads with a sand-salt mixture.
