In Naryn Region, drivers were warned about the danger of ice on the Bishkek–Naryn–Torugart highway

In order to reduce the number of road traffic accidents in the Naryn region, explanatory events were organized for drivers. This was reported by the Traffic Safety Department of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of the Naryn region.

According to the report, Police Lieutenant Colonel Nurbek Salymbaev, who heads the road safety department, together with employees of the Traffic Safety Department, informed drivers of passenger and freight vehicles traveling along the Bishkek–Naryn–Torugart highway about the necessity of adhering to traffic rules, especially in conditions of sudden weather deterioration.

During the event, drivers were reminded of adverse conditions such as fog and ice, urging them to maintain a safe distance from other vehicles, to be attentive, to reduce speed, to avoid crossing into oncoming traffic, and to use winter tires before long trips.

In addition, truck drivers were reminded of the mandatory use of chains on tires when passing through mountain passes to avoid traffic jams on the roads. Detailed discussions were also held with them.

The goal of this initiative is to enhance road safety, ensure compliance with traffic rules, and prevent traffic accidents, as stated in the report.
