According to the press service of the city police department, the main objective of these measures is to identify and suppress cases of illegal storage, carrying, and sale of firearms, gas, traumatic, and cold weapons, as well as ammunition. Additionally, the measures aim to prevent crimes related to the use of these items. Special attention is given to ensuring that citizens and organizations comply with the legal norms regarding the circulation of weapons.
As part of the operation, the police are conducting operational and preventive measures, raids, checking places where illegal weapons may be stored, as well as holding explanatory talks with the population and monitoring registered weapon owners.
Since the beginning of the operation, 17 units of weapons have been seized from illegal circulation, and measures are being taken against those who violate legislative requirements.
