According to the agency's information, the purpose of the event was to prevent accidents related to firearms.
“As part of the raid, the inspecting officers ensured that registered firearm owners had all the necessary permits for storage and carrying, and that storage conditions were being followed,” the report states.
During this work, law enforcement emphasized to firearm owners the importance of adhering to legislation, the inadmissibility of using weapons in conflict situations, as well as measures to prevent domestic violence and other incidents. Citizens were given informational leaflets, and if necessary, they were advised to contact the internal affairs authorities for assistance,” the press service added.
