The main task of the operation is to identify and suppress cases of illegal storage, carrying, and sale of firearms, gas weapons, traumatic weapons, and cold weapons, as well as ammunition. Special attention is paid to compliance by citizens and organizations with legislation regarding the handling of weapons and the prevention of crimes committed using them.
As part of the operation, raids are conducted, checks are made on places of potential illegal storage of weapons, and explanatory work is carried out with the population, along with monitoring registered weapon owners.
Since the beginning of the operation, 17 units of weapons have been seized from illegal circulation. Appropriate measures are being taken against violators of the law.
Representatives of the internal affairs bodies emphasized that work within the framework of the operation continues actively, aimed at protecting the safety of residents and guests of the capital.
The police urge citizens to strictly adhere to the requirements of the legislation. In the case of voluntarily surrendering illegally stored weapons and ammunition, citizens can avoid liability under the law. It is also reported that facts of illegal weapon circulation can be reported to the nearest internal affairs bodies or by calling 102.
