Raids aimed at curbing illegal fishing continue in the country. Officials from the relevant authorities have intensified monitoring across all water bodies in Kyrgyzstan.

Recent cases of poaching have been recorded at Issyk-Kul. During joint activities to clean up water bodies, raids are conducted, during which individuals using prohibited tools, such as nets, for fishing are apprehended.

The press secretary of the president, Askat Alagozov, noted that the fight against poaching is under the personal control of President Sadyr Japarov. This summer, the head of state himself participated in a raid at Issyk-Kul, emphasizing the importance of protecting the lake's ecosystem and the need to tighten measures against illegal fishing.

Authorities remind the public of the importance of adhering to environmental legislation and warn that any attempts at illegal fishing will be suppressed, and violators will face punishment.
