In Bishkek, morning and evening raids aimed at saving electricity have begun. This was reported by the head of the electricity sales department of the Bishkek branch of OJSC "NESK," Aigul Bulanova, on the air of "Birinchi Radio."

According to her, inspectors check throughout the day whether outdoor lighting is turned off.

“We are trying to negotiate to avoid excessive advertising lights. A directive from the Cabinet has also been issued, recommending that all administrations finish work by 6:00 PM so that everything is turned off during that time. This is a very serious task,” Aigul Bulanova noted.

She also added that evening raids are conducted during peak load hours.

“Our employees inspect large facilities and check whether electric heating has been reduced. According to the rules, we can demand its disconnection within a few minutes. Otherwise, the electricity supply company has the right to annul the technical conditions. We do not have many employees compared to the total number of consumers, so we can only selectively check facilities,” she explained.

Aigul Bulanova noted that the population generally understands the necessity of these measures to preserve the energy system. Work is also being done to clarify the situation.

Earlier, the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, stated that the water level in the Toktogul Reservoir is currently 2 billion cubic meters lower than last year. To ensure the stability of the energy system, the government is forced to purchase electricity from other sources. He urged citizens to save energy, emphasizing that “every light bulb represents hundreds of liters of water in Toktogul and additional costs for the budget.”
