The Ministry of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic has published an official clarification regarding the issue of providing electricity under the so-called "unlimited tariff."

According to the agency, the initiative aimed at using electricity without restrictions during the autumn-winter period was proposed by the joint-stock company "National Electric Network of Kyrgyzstan" (NESK) without prior coordination with the ministry. This situation has caused a wide public outcry.

The President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, noted that such proposals cannot be discussed in the context of electricity shortages. He instructed to cease work on this initiative and ensure equal access to electricity for citizens.

In response to the situation, the Ministry of Energy sent a letter to the Board of Directors of JSC "NESK" requesting measures to be taken against the company's management.

As a result of the discussion of this appeal, the Board of Directors decided on disciplinary measures against several managers:

the General Director of JSC "NESK," I.M. Sydygaliev, was reprimanded;

the Deputy General Director for Commercial Issues, Duysho uulu Ularbek, received a reprimand;

the Head of the Electricity Sales Department, I.A. Orozbaev, was dismissed from his position.

Given the current electricity deficit and public interest, JSC "National Electric Network of Kyrgyzstan" has been instructed to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply to the population.
