In the Alamedin District, the memory of the heroes of the Afghan War was honored

In the Alamidin district, a memorial rally was held dedicated to the 37th anniversary of the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan, which took place at the district House of Culture. This was reported by the district state administration.

Representatives of the authorities and public figures gathered for the event to pay tribute to the fallen soldiers and express gratitude to the living veterans. Among the participants were Gulmira Kyshtobaeva, the deputy representative of the president in the Chuy region, Arnal Asanov, the first deputy akim of the district, as well as the chairmen of the Veterans Council Asanaly Zaripov and Abdymanap Sopieva, representing the veterans of the Afghan war.

Speaking about the events of the decade-long war that began in 1979, the participants of the rally noted the heroism of the soldiers who demonstrated incredible resilience and courage in difficult conditions. It was important to emphasize the necessity of preserving historical memory for future generations. Currently, there are 70 veterans of the Afghan war living in the Alamidin district.

The event concluded with a moment of silence in memory of those who did not return from the war.
