The Ministry of Education claims that the total number of vacation days remains unchanged.
In Kyrgyzstan, the spring school break will last only one day — March 6. Saturday and Sunday, as usual, remain days off for educational institutions operating on a five-day schedule.
The situation with the reduction of breaks after the longest quarter caused dissatisfaction among parents last year. However, the Ministry of Education did not make any changes to the schedule, citing new provisions of the Labor Code that made the winter and May holidays longer in 2026.
Moreover, the transfer of the holiday on March 8, which coincides with Sunday, will also not take place, as the corresponding changes in the Labor Code were canceled.
