Recently, the Minister of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic, Mirbek Mambetaliev, held a meeting with archaeologists to discuss issues related to archaeological research and the preservation of historical and cultural heritage in the context of changing land use.

During the meeting, the minister emphasized the need to intensify joint efforts for effective research, especially against the backdrop of increasing construction activity. He also suggested selecting one district from each region for in-depth study.

The archaeologists noted that for successful work, they need support from government structures, particularly regarding the timely acquisition of maps and necessary documents related to land plots.

Kunbolot Akmatov, one of the archaeologists, reported that in the Manas district of the Talas region, work was carried out in 2025 over an area of 50,000 hectares, resulting in the discovery of more than 3,000 new heritage sites.

In conclusion, the minister stressed the importance of continuing work this year by selecting one district from each of the seven regions for further research.
