"Kyrgyzfilm" is holding an open script competition for films

The National Film Studio "Kyrgyzfilm," named after Tolo Mush Okeeva, has announced the start of an open competition for screenwriters, concerning the creation of both short and feature-length artistic and popular science documentary films. This information was provided by the press service of the Ministry of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy.

The competition covers several categories:


Legal entities registered in the territory of Kyrgyzstan, including production studios and creative associations, can participate in the competition. Only scripts written in the Kyrgyz language and formatted in "American" style will be considered.

Works will be evaluated based on ten criteria, including originality of the idea, plot structure, character development, artistic level, adherence to language norms, and authorial individuality.

The deadline for submissions is July 17.
