Recently, deputy Dastan Bekeshev proposed to ease the criteria for school uniforms.
According to the government decree, school uniforms in Kyrgyzstan must adhere to a classic style. This was reported by the Ministry of Education.
The document outlines requirements that take into account the climatic conditions and temperature regime in educational institutions. The development of these norms involved parents, students, and education experts.
For boys, the uniform includes a shirt, vest, trousers, and jacket in solid colors such as black, gray, dark blue, and burgundy. For girls, the uniform includes a blouse, vest, skirt, trousers, dress, apron, and jacket, which can be either solid or plaid. "The colors of the shirts should be light," the official statement said.
The Ministry also emphasized that forcing low-income families to purchase uniforms of a specific type is unacceptable. A combination of "light top - dark bottom" is allowed.
According to the department, the classic style of school uniforms contributes to the formation of discipline and reduces social differences among students.
