Fire alarms will be upgraded in schools and kindergartens in Bishkek

In Bishkek, the Education Department of the Oktobrskiy District has announced a tender for the upgrade of the fire alarm system in schools and kindergartens.

According to information posted on the government procurement portal, approximately 3.5 million soms will be allocated for these purposes. Of this amount, 1.5 million soms will be directed towards modernizing the alarms in secondary schools, while nearly 1.7 million soms will go to kindergartens.

Among the facilities where the work will be carried out are Youth Labor School No. 7, Boarding School No. 71, and Special (Auxiliary) School No. 34.

Previously, the city council discussed the necessity of ensuring the safety of educational institutions in the capital in terms of fire protection. According to local officials, fire alarm systems have already been installed in 116 schools and 118 kindergartens. Work is also underway to install them in several educational institutions in the Lenin District and three preschool organizations.
