During the meeting, which was broadcast online, a criminal case regarding domestic violence was discussed.

Officials present at the event included Aman Jumaliev, Deputy Head of the Supreme Court's Office, and Aibek Aydarov, Deputy Minister of Justice of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The Supreme Court noted that changes concerning "video conferencing" and "online broadcasting of court sessions" had been made to the Criminal Procedure Code of Kyrgyzstan earlier.

According to the new amendments, participants in the court process, including the accused, have the right to familiarize themselves with the minutes of the sessions, as well as with audio and video recordings, and can submit their comments on them. Participants can also request that sessions be held using video conferencing or broadcast via television, radio, or the internet.

The court has the right to allow online broadcasting of the session at its discretion or at the request of participants, taking into account the interests of justice, the principles of openness, and the safety of all involved in the process.

The implementation of such practices aims to enhance the transparency of the judicial system, strengthen public trust in it, as well as ensure the openness and accessibility of judicial processes.
