An Atlas of the Geological Riches of Kyrgyzstan is Being Created

A project has been launched in Kyrgyzstan to create an Atlas of Geological Maps, initiated by the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision in collaboration with the M.M. Adyshev Institute of Geology at the National Academy of Sciences. This publication will be titled the Atlas of Geological, Geophysical, and Mineralogical Maps of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The project is being carried out by a temporary creative team consisting of employees from the Institute of Geology and experts from the Ministry of Natural Resources. Recently, the second working meeting took place with the participation of representatives from the institute, where further steps in the development of the Atlas were discussed.

It is expected that the Atlas will become an important scientific and cartographic resource, detailing the geological structure of the territory of Kyrgyzstan, its geophysical characteristics, and mineral potential.

The Atlas is planned to be published in two volumes in Russian and English, which will ensure access for international scientists and investors.

The creation of this Atlas aims to popularize the geological resources of the country, develop international scientific cooperation, and enhance the attractiveness of the mining sector and subsoil use for foreign investors.

The Ministry of Natural Resources noted that the implementation of the project will strengthen the scientific and strategic potential of Kyrgyzstan, serve as a foundation for the long-term development of the geological and industrial complex, and integrate the country into the global scientific community.
